Big or small, there are things to be thankful for, each day of your life. This exercise helps no matter your mood – to acknowledge and thank the good in your life, to make you see what’s in front of you, or to realign yourself with your goals and priorities. Listing this shouldn’t be a chore, and can have the scope of a mountain or a grain of sand. I started this after checking out healthmonth.com, where one of the tasks to do was to write 3-5 things you are grateful for. Sometimes a quick scribble is all you need, and of things that just pop into your mind.
5 Things I Am Thankful For:
- Beautiful rainy weather and the ability to appreciate it.
- The opportunity to pursue my interests in writing and photography.
- The refreshing bottle of ice cold water I am sipping on.
- People in my life whom I love and support.
- Having mint chewing gum and nail clippers in my car, just in case.
Quick, what are 5 things you are thankful for right now?
