In this Season of Giving, there are many charms to the holidays. The rush of the department stores, the new flavors of coffee, holiday duck, the bells ringing, and the lights shining, but none compares to the blessing of love – of family, friends, and loved ones.

As I am writing for Studyshare.org on my experiences in Italy, I can’t help but be in disbelief that I was there, or I saw a sunset as pristine as this.

Dear self,

I have some words for you to keep moving forward:

From the moment you were born, your actions do not only affect you. In this weave of reverberation, learn your power, and ride the ripples. Yet you know that.

You will continue to make mistakes, as does everyone in life. It’s not about the falls but the rises. Yet you know that.

You will never forget your past, nor of those who affected you. Learn to forgive yourself and everything around you will fall into place. Yet you know that.

The old adage of the more you learn, the more you realize you don’t know rings soundly true. Keep learning until one day you realize you know nothing. Let that humble you, and continue to learn. Yet you know that.

Your lungs are made for more than breathing. Don’t forget to laugh. Yet you know that.

Sometimes you may get caught up with the future before you, the past behind you, or absorbed in the present feeling like there’s no direction. It’s ok, life is all about the balance, but when in doubt – take yourself into the seat of the traveler, and know that there is purpose in where you are going. Yet you know that.

Eat your vegetables. Yet you know that.

You are going to forget, and maybe even be hard on yourself for doing so. Learn to love yourself, and know that forgetting is another opportunity for reconfirming. Yet you know that.

Keep trucking, I have faith that you will be fine.
With love,
me
